Shari will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her for her big heart. She was always the first to be there if you needed anything. She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. She was an avid crocheter gifting many of her creations to friends and family throughout the years. She also enjoyed sewing and numerous other craft projects.
Shari also took great pleasure in cooking, camping and fishing spending many years vacationing at Bear Lake in Northern Michigan with family and friends beginning when her daughter Robin was very young and extending that tradition to eventually include her grandchildren. Her love of that type of life resulted in her purchasing a seasonal trailer on Eagle Lake in Bloomingdale, MI where she spent over 30 summers. She and the other long time residents on the lake formed a very close knit community.
For many years she had a Tuesday dinner group consisting of her brothers and friends where once a week they would share meals at various restaurants to laugh, tell stories and reminisce. She rarely missed a week and it held a special place in her heart.
The biggest part of her heart was reserved for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was very supportive of their many activities and spent many road hours over the years attending their events, always with a smile and great enthusiasm for being able to be part of it. She was once asked what she was most proud of and without hesitation would say her family.
She will be sorely missed and always in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her husband David Zoerman in 2016, her parents, as well as her brothers Del and Gary Goorman.
Shari is survived by daughter Robin (David) Kail; Grandchildren Brandon (Jenna) Kail, and Kendra (Andrew) Besser; and great-grandchildren Ethan, Karlee, Emilee, Parker, and Hadley. She is also survived by brother Bill (Lori) Goorman as well as several nieces and nephews.
Shari’s family would like to extend a special thank you to her Gentiva Hospice team for the excellent care provided. A special thank you goes out to her RN Sarah and CNA Eliz.
