Sue was born in Sturgis June 20, 1941 to Clarence and Gwendolyn (Taylor) Jesse and was a lifelong resident of the area, moving to Holland with her husband Carl in 2010.
A graduate of Sturgis High School in 1960, she worked in area for many years, eventually as a crossing guard where she received an award for her years of service to the community.
Sue was very involved in many environmental conservation and animal activists activities, including the Michigan United Conservations Club, and was a proud member of the Red Hat Society. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband Carl of 60 years; daughter Tamara (Mark) Drake; grandchildren Soren (Cal) Holsinger-Robinson, and Anja Holsinger-Robinson; step great grandchild Dominic Lester; sister-in-law Carolyn Wetzel; many extended family and friends.
A visitation to celebrate Sue’s life will be from 3-5:00pm on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland.
Burial will take place in Fort Custer National Cemetery.
