Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign Heats Up as Holidays Approach

HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 13, 2024) – Christmas is six weeks from Wednesday.

A staple of the holiday season for generations is the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign, with the iconic bell ringers alongside at entrances to retailers. In the Holland area, Mayor Nathan Bocks is the honorary chairman for the 2024 effort.

Still, there is a need for physical bell ringers, according to local Salvation Army leader Lt. Matt Winters.
