Lois Dozeman, 82, of Holland, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Friday, November 8, 2024.
Lois was born April 13, 1942, in Zeeland, Michigan, to John and Grace (Bleeker) Huizen. She graduated from Zeeland High School, and later married David Dozeman in 1962. Lois worked in the office at Holland Motor Express, then raised her family, and later was a server for 32 years at Southtown Russ’ Restaurant, one of the original Southtown Russ’ employees. Lois and Dave were longtime members of Niekerk Christian Reformed Church. In 2015, David preceded Lois in death. She was also preceded in death by her infant son Daniel John Dozeman.
She is survived by her children, Doug Dozeman, Deb and Dean Brower, Dawn and Ken Osborne; grandchildren & great-grandchildren: Grant & Stephanie Dozeman (Hudson, Royce), Brent and Ali Dozeman (Asher, Tilly), Kendra & Keegan Den Uyl (Jovie), Kellie Brower, Marc Brower, Luke Brower, Courtney & Caleb Coe (Savannah), Bradley Osborne, Austin Osborne; sister Jan and Jake Boeve, in-laws: Linda and Rog Smeyers, Rich and Lois Dozeman; and several nieces and nephews.
The Dozeman family feels blessed by the kindness and excellent care that Lois received through the staff of American House and Hospice.
Visitation with the family will be 4:00-7:00 PM, Monday, at the Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Street, Holland MI 49423. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Niekerk Christian Reformed Church, 545 Country Club Rd., Holland MI 49423. Private interment will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Lois’ honor may be given to Moody Radio.
