HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 1, 2024) – A 61-year-old Holland man was hospitalized after he was struck trying to cross US-31 on his bicycle on Tuesday morning.
No names were disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Matt Wildfong following the 10:30 AM incident at the junction of James Street and the divided highway. Deputies believe that the bicyclist did not stop for a red light and was hit by a southbound vehicle, suffering non-life threatening injuries. The motorist, a 48-year-old Holland woman, was not hurt.
The incident remains under investigation.
