SALEM TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 30, 2024) – Three persons were hospitalized, and power was knocked out for a time, following a Monday evening collision between a SUV and a truck near Burnips.
According to Allegan County Sheriff’s Sergeant Bernard Austhof, the SUV was eastbound on 144th Avenue around 5 PM when it apparently went through a two-way stop sign at 30th Street and crashed into the northbound truck. The force of the collision led to power lines being downed, while the driver of the truck and two passengers in the SUV were taken to “local area hospitals” for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
No names or other details surrounding the incident were immediately disclosed as an investigation into the matter continues.
