David was born in Zeeland August 17, 1942 to Harold and Reva (Cassel) Day, and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a member of South Olive Christian Reformed Church, was an avid reader and a handyman who could fix anything. David was a jokester at heart, teasing everyone any chance he could get, and loved to talk and be around people. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, but especially his family, whom he held loved, and cherished any time he could spend with them.
David is survived by his wife Beth of 61 years; daughter Dana (Joel) Snyder; son Doug (Julita) Day; grandchildren Jacob Leazier and Jennifer (Jon) Gamble; great grandchildren Koda Westfield and Amelia Gamble; brothers Keith (Elaine) Day and Lynn Day; in-laws Joyce VandenBosch, Phila Essenburg, Jean Puegh, and Gretchen Potts; several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
A service to celebrate David’s life will be 11:00am Friday, September 27, 2024 at South Olive Christian Reformed Church, 6425 120th Ave., Holland.
Visitation will be from 10-11:00am prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to South Olive Christian Reformed Church or to Hospice of Holland in memory of Dave.
