HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 25, 2024) โ General Aviation Appreciation Month is winding down in Michigan.
Governor Whitmer issued the proclamation to spotlight a nearly $22 billion annual industry that supports over 33,000 jobs with around seven thousand registered aircraft flying into and out of 210 publicly owned airports across the state. One of those is West Michigan Regional Airport on Hollandโs South Side, currently funded by Holland, Zeeland and Park Township.
The West Michigan Airport Authority has oversight on this facility, and Fifth Ward Councilman Scott Corbin is on that panelโs Board of Directors.
