JAMESTOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 20, 2024) – A 56-year-old Jenison man was seriously injured when his passenger vehicle was rear-ended by a dump truck in southeast Ottawa County on Friday afternoon.
No names were disclosed by Sheriff’s Lieutenant Nicholas Knott as he and other first responders were dispatched to 8th Avenue just south of Quincy Street shortly after 4 PM. It appeared that a northbound Toyota had stopped to turn left into a private drive when it was smashed from behind by the dump truck.
The Jenison man was taken to Corewell-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids for treatment, while the trucker, a 62-year-old Hudsonville man, was not hurt. The crash remains under investigation.
