Keith was a lifelong resident of Grand Rapids and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from Western Michigan University. Following graduation, Keith entered the US Army and used his psychology background while serving his country. Following his time with the Army, Keith traveled throughout Europe. Keith worked in many fields over the years, including as a commodities broker, stock broker, real estate agent and entrepreneur. In his later years, Keith was a board member at Senior Neighbors and held this position for many years. He enjoyed being active in the community and helping others. He also sang in the Fountain Street Church choir for many years.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Mildred Vandercook, as well as son Daniel Vandercook.
He is survived by daughters Susan (Dave) Claver and Lisa (Kurt) Elliott; and grandchildren Petr, Mikhail, and Austin.
