David R. Nienhuis, age 77, died unexpectedly of natural causes at his home on Saturday, August 10, 2024, doing what he loved, working on an outdoor project.
Dave was characterized by his love of family and friends. His big-hearted generosity demonstrated itself as he helped others with his time and talents. Most importantly he had an unwavering faith and love for his Savior, Jesus Christ. He was loved and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Nienhuis; daughter, Sara and Philip Quinn; daughter, Beth and Matthew Vanderhyde; grandchildren, Spencer Mohr, Trevor Mohr, Chloe Mohr, Samuel Vanderhyde, Clara Vanderhyde; sister, Ellen and Paul Hoekstra; sister, Carol and Wes Mesman; sister-in-law, Susan Kort; brother-in-law, Kenneth Kort; brother-in-law, Robert and Christina Kort; and extended loved ones and family.
Visitation with the family is 4:00-6:00 pm on Thursday, August 15, 2024, in the Commons of Ridge Point Community Church, 340 104th Ave. Holland, MI 49423.
A service to honor the life and faith of David will be at 10:00 am on Friday, August 16, 2024, also at Ridge Point Community Church.
Memorial contributions may be given in Dave’s honor to People Helping People or Ridge Point Community Church.
Burial to take place in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
