OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, July 28, 2024) – The blueprint for how Ottawa County Parks and Recreation moves forward has reached another stage.
From now through August 7, the public is invited to review and comment on a draft for a Strategic Plan that the Parks and Recreation Commission will use as a decision-making “compass” through its next phase of development and service, looking to continue providing high-quality natural resources and recreational opportunities. It was shaped by what the department calls “extensive outreach,” including over 56 hundred public survey responses, along with polling 57 stakeholders, holding six visioning engagement sessions, and conducting a scientific survey through Washington-based Probolsky Research.
A link to the strategic plan is here, along with one for filling out a survey upon completion of reviewing the blueprint. Results will be disclosed this fall.
