He was born in Erie on May 30, 1945, the son of the late Ernest “Budd” Clark and Elina (Kernick) Clark.
He was a graduate of Academy High School in 1963 and was an Air Force veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He moved to Michigan in 1979, and also enjoyed spending his winters in Bradenton, FL the last few years.
Don enjoyed following and working on race cars. In his later years, he enjoyed watching NASCAR on television, shooting pool, and playing card games and dominoes with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his late wife, Bille (Garlick) Clark, and his sister Sue Rose Eckard. Don is survived by his wife Florence (Barrett); children Kristen Clark and Kevin Clark of Pennsylvania, Carrie DeBoer of Florida, Casey (Allissa) Clark of Michigan, and Carley (Joshua) Baeseman of Wisconsin. He is also survived by brother-in-law Roger (Mary) Kuite and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Rose Park Reformed Church – 14241 Rose Park Dr. Holland, MI 49424 on Saturday, July 27 at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Light refreshments will be served following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holland Hospital ICU or Rose Park Reformed Church.
