POLKTON TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, July 13, 2024) – A 60-year-old Coopersville woman was critically injured following a two-vehicle crash between her hometown and Nunica on Saturday afternoon.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Rick Sykes, the woman was a passenger in an eastbound SUV on Cleveland Street around 1:40 PM that, while attempting to turn left onto State Road, pulled into the path of a westbound vehicle, leading to a collision. She was taken to an undisclosed “area” hospital, while the driver of the SUV that she was in, a 28-year-old Coopersville woman, was not hurt. A 77-year-old Grand Haven woman driving the westbound vehicle, along with a 76-year-old female passenger, also from Grand Haven, were also hospitalized in “good” condition, according to Sykes.
No names were disclosed as the incident remains under investigation.
