PRESS RELEASE (WHTC-AM/FM) – Port Sheldon Street, west of M-121/Chicago Drive, is set to close Nov. 3, 2020 for CSX railroad-crossing repairs, according to a note from the Ottawa County Road Commission.
The closing of this stretch of road is expected to last about one week
The Ottawa County Road Commission’s note to media indicated CSX Railroad is scheduled to reconstruct a railroad grade crossing on Port Sheldon Street west of Chicago Drive (M-121) in Georgetown Township.
A signed detour for Port Sheldon Street will follow Chicago Drive (M-121) northeast to 18th Avenue then north to Baldwin Street then west to 28th Avenue then back south to Port Sheldon Street.
