HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, June 30, 2024) – Three persons were injured following a two-vehicle, Sunday morning collision on Holland’s North Side.
No names were disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Matt Wildfong, who was among first responders dispatched to US-31 at James Street just before 9 AM. It appeared that a southbound SUV drove through a red light and slammed into a westbound vehicle that was crossing the junction on a green light.
A passenger in the slammed vehicle, a 35-year-old Holland woman, had to be extricated by rescue workers and was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The two drivers involved – a 36-year-old Holland man in the slammed vehicle and a 57-year-old Holland man in the at-fault SUV – were also hurt with non-life threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
