Rev. Mark E. Mayou, age 93, of Fennville, formerly of Holland, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024.
Mark served in the US Army from 1948-1950 and then became a youth pastor in New York. From there, Mark pastored churchs in Soap Lake, WA, the Bethel Baptist Church in South Haven, MI, and finished his pastoral work at the First Baptist Church in Holland. In his retirement, Mark enjoyed being a school bus driver for Holland Public Schools. He was currently a member of Ventura Baptist Church in Holland.
Mark was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Ruth Mayou, and his son, Mark Roy Mayou I in 1978.

A time of visitation is planned for 10:00-10:45am on Thursday, June 27, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E 16th St., Holland. Funeral services, with Rev. Timothy Durey officiating, will follow at 11:00am. Burial, with military honors, will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Condolences may be left online at www.langelandsterenberg.com.
