OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, June 24, 2024) – One doesn’t immediately think of the Fillmore Street Complex as a site for works of art.
That has been the case for several years, though, as the Ottawa County Art Trust has held an annual exhibition of works to reflect what organizers say are the cultural traditions, activities, and/or natural features that represent life in the county. Kathy O’Brien and Mark Jones of Ottawa House Clay and Glass were the jurors as they looked at several works that were submitted last week.
Lori Gramer is the executive director of the Holland Area Arts Council, which assists the Art Trust in this venture.
The exhibit, which runs through September 6th, opens on Monday afternoon with a 4 PM reception and awards ceremony in the atrium lobby of the county’s administration building (12220 Fillmore St., West Olive).
