LEE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, June 18, 2024) – On June 15, 2024, Allegan Central Dispatch received a call from a home on 105th Ave in Lee Township, Allegan County about a pregnant female with a gunshot wound. The Lee Township contract deputy arrived on scene and started first aid to the victim.
Information was found that the 31-year-old victim was in an argument with her 23-year-old boyfriend. Both subjects are from the Pullman area. During the argument the boyfriend had a pistol and it went off striking the female in the abdomen and leg. The boyfriend then left the scene in a reported stolen motorcycle. Deputies were able to locate the firearm and made contact with the suspect over the phone while continuing to locate him.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where the child and her are in stable condition. After several tips from the community, the boyfriend was located on June 17 and taken into custody.
