HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Two women were hurt in a Saturday evening Zeeland Township crash, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Michael Hallmeyer
It happened at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24, 2020, on Chicago Drive near 64th Avenue, when a 20-year-old Holland woman, in a Volkswagen Passat was headed west at what police said was a high rate of speed, hit the back of a Toyota Rav-4, with a 63-year-old Saugatuck woman at the wheel.
Both drivers suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, Hallmeyer said, and went by ambulance to area hospitals.
Alcohol and speed appear to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation by Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies.
