Michael Dale Bennett, age 48, of Grand Haven, passed away tragically on Friday, May 31.
Known for his unmistakable laugh and cheerful disposition, Michael was the life of every gathering. His hard work ethic shone through in his profession as a hi-lo driver at Metal Flow, a job he truly loved. He also enjoyed fixing things. In addition to working hard, Michael also played hard. He was constantly on the go, embracing life to the fullest. In his free time, Michael enjoyed the tranquility of fishing, finding peace by the water’s edge. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Michael is survived by his parents, Dale and Sharon Bennett of Zeeland; his children: Jessie Bahm of Holland, Joshua Vandenbosch (Aryianna) of Sault St. Marie, Isabelle Bennett (and fiancé Daniel Brady) of Holland, Nikolas Bennett (and fiancé Atalyssa) of Glenville, GA; grandchildren: Emory, Emelia, Emerson, Emerald, Emmalyn; sister Shelley (Dennis) Oregan of Zeeland; his girlfriend of seven years, Anita Robinson; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his son, Jacob Donavon Bennett.
A Funeral Service to honor Michael’s memory will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland, MI 49464. Visitation at the funeral home is from 5:00-8:00 pm on Thursday June 6. Memorial contributions may be given to help Michael’s family cover funeral expenses.
