HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ottawa County Sheriff’s detectives are looking for a suspect involved in a non-fatal shooting that happened just after 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2020, at Brookmeadow North Apartments, 143 Brookmeadow North Lane, in Georgetown Township.
The victim, 27-year-old Grandville man, suffered non-fatal injuries after being shot by his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend, according to a statement emailed to media by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Greg Rotman.
Deputies called to the scen found that the suspect, 28-year-old Holland man, arrived at the apartment of his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend and began an arguement with the couple. The Grandville man was shot once, in the abdomen, and went by Life Ambulance to Metro Hospital for treatment of what police called non-life-threatening injuries. The woman was not physically injured.
