Luz Mary Campa, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
She was a beloved wife, mother, and sister. Luz worked as a corrections officer in Genesee County for many years. She had an optimistic spirit and a great love for music, as well as a love of fried chicken. Though at times harsh, her devotion to her family shone bright.
Luz’s legacy of love and laughter will forever be cherished by those whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed by her husband Cornelio Campa; children: Taide (Juan Manuel) Campa, Cornelio Campa Jr.; in-laws: Juana (Jose) Rodriguez, and Alberto (Patricia) Campa; as well as extended family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 10:00 am, with visitation beginning at 9:00 am. Prior visitation will take place at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home on Friday, May 17 from 6:00-9:00 pm. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
