Dorothy Deters, age 93, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024.
Dorothy was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a member of Niekerk Christian Reformed Church her entire married life. She served the Laotian Church alongside her husband for many years. She was loved and will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard “Jerome” Deters, and grandson, Adam Rice.
She is survived by her children, Judy and Mohan Chacko, Sandra and Mark Rice, Randy and Mary Deters, Tom and Jan Deters, Barb and Mike Blystra, Amy and David Bradley; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; brother, Norman and Elaine Lokker; brother-in-law, Justin and Joyce Deters; brother-in-law, Alvin and Marion Deters; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family is 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Langeland Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland, MI 49423.
Funeral services are at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Niekerk Christian Reformed Church, 545 Country Club Road, Holland, MI 49423.
Burial to take place in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
