HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 11, 2024) – What do you do if you find out your youngster is a gifted student? How do you go about getting the proper resources and support for that child?
That’s the focus of a day-long “Helping Gifted Students Soar” gifted and talented conference, slated for April 22nd at Holland’s Haworth Conference Center (225 College Ave.), and hosted by the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District. A variety of speakers, keynoted by Dr. Susan Assouline of the Belin-Blank Center, will talk about understanding the social and emotional needs of these special students, awareness of available accelerated academic tools, and other facets of support, with a question and answer panel with these speakers scheduled.
