HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 10, 2024) – It’s time to work on the Fiscal 2025 municipal budget for the City of Holland.
Wednesday evening’s biweekly business meeting of the Holland City Council kicks off a two-night overview of the proposed spending plan for the year that begins on July 1st. The nearly $234 million financial blueprint includes a dip of around $1.8 million into reserves in order for it to be balanced, but with no increase in the property tax rate. It doesn’t mean that residents and businesses won’t have to pay a little more in levies, according to City Manager Keith Van Beek.
There are 12 spotlighted areas of focus in the budget, and an online link to not only the proposed spending plan, but the agenda for the 6 PM City Council meeting in Chambers at Holland City Hall (270 S. River Ave.) is here.
A public hearing and final vote on the budget is slated for May 1st.
