Donald Lake, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.
Don taught and coached tennis for Zeeland Schools for over 30 years. He was known for his storytelling, sense of humor, and the ability to make others feel welcome. He was a wonderful husband and father. He was loved and will be dearly missed.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Della Lake; brother, John Lake; brother, Jerry Lake; and brother-in-law, Terry Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Lake; son, Brandon Lake; son, Trevor and Hollie Lake; son, Marcus and Kristina Lake; grandchildren, Emma Lake, Malcom Lake, Harper Lake; in-laws, Donald and Eleanor Beute; sister, Gloria Smith; sister-in-law, Robin Lake; brother-in-law, Doug Beute; brother-in-law, David and Cheryl Beute; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family is 5:00-7:00 pm on Monday, April 8, 2024, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St. Zeeland, MI 49464.
Memorial contributions in Don’s honor may be given to Hospice of Holland.
