Loving father, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, uncle and friend, Robert Nathan Kish, 85, of Holland, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on October 3, 1938, to Elmer and Ruth (Bay) Kish. He was raised in Pittsburgh and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. His career later moved him to Michigan with his young family. Bob started his career as an architectural draftsman and transitioned into sales where he thrived. He worked for Heinz, U.S. Steel, Allied Signal, Honeywell, and Mayfair Plastics. Following retirement, he and his wife Jackie enjoyed many years wintering in Florida and summering in Gaylord, Michigan. They moved to Holland, Michigan in 2019.
Bob was an avid sports fan, especially of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was dedicated to his family and was actively involved with his children’s sports and other activities. He adored his grandchildren and proudly supported them as a spectator at their sporting events from toddlers through their college years.
He was predeceased by his parents and wife Jacalyn Kish. He is survived by his children: Ken & Amy Kish of Grosse Point Park, Michigan, and Karla Kish of Birmingham, Michigan and their mother, Anna Marie Kish; grandchildren Rob & Kyrian Kish, Richie & Kate Kish, Katie & Austin Hall; great-grandchildren: Quille Kish, Eliza Kish (with twin brothers on the way), Henry and Jack Hall; his sisters: Frances Voelker and Sandra Kish, nieces and nephews and Jackie’s son Chuck Stebelton and his wife Cathy.
