OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 22, 2024) – The concern about deep fakes is more than just a political issue.
That’s the message from the Ottawa Area Superintendents Association, who announced on Thursday a “#StopThinkVerify” campaign. According to officials, the initiative is a collective effort to educate students, parents and the broader community about the dangers of such technology, as well as promoting digital literacy and safety.
Efforts along these lines include an public awareness campaign involving the difference between artificial intelligence and actual information, along with making available resources for support to students and families that may have been victimized by actions involving AI and other digital manipulations.
More information on the #StopThinkVerify campaign is here.
