GRAND HAVEN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 20, 2024) โ A 38-year-old Grand Haven woman is in the Ottawa County Jail after a Wednesday afternoon hit-and-run spree south of the county seat.
According to Sheriffโs Sergeant Jon Knott, central dispatch received reports shortly after 12 Noon of a black SUV colliding with a house in the area of 168th Avenue near Warner Street, and then moving on to hitting other property and additional houses. Deputies and Grand Haven Public Safety officers tracked down the vehicle in a subdivision off of Ferris Street and 152nd Avenue and safely halted the SUV, although two deputies sustained minor injuries.
The woman inside, along with two children who were passengers, were not hurt during the string of events, and the unnamed suspect was arrested. Knott did not mention any other circumstances that led to the collision spree, nor did he say what happened to the two youngsters after the apprehension of the woman, as the incident remains under investigation.
