The other doubleheaders are Hudsonville at West Ottawa and Allegan at Fennville. In single-game action: Holland’s boys are at Zeeland East, with the girls meeting at the Dutch Dome; Zeeland West’s boys are at Muskegon, with the Dux hosting the girls’ game; and Calvary’s girls are at Zion Christian.

Grand Valley State split a basketball doubleheader in Sault Ste. Marie with host Lake Superior State last night. Abrie Cabana needed to score just 12 points to lead the visiting Lakers in a 69-25 romp during the women’s opener. Tyson Edmondson’s 16 points paced the Soo Lakers to a men’s triumph in the nightcap, 91-55. GVSU’s teams are in Big Rapids for another twin bill against arch rival Ferris State tomorrow afternoon.
In state major-college basketball last night, Michigan State topped Minnesota, 76-66, but Michigan fell to Illinois, 88-73. This evening, Toledo is at Eastern Michigan.
