HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan. 10, 2024) – Another step in the municipal budget-making process for the City of Holland will be taken on Wednesday night.
Following last week’s two Coffee with Council gatherings, Mayor Nathan Bocks and his fellow City Council members, during the biweekly study session that begins at 6 PM in the second-floor Training Room of Holland City Hall (270 S. River Ave.), will screen 11 video presentations by members of city staff on various departmental needs for Fiscal 2025 that begins on July 1st.
This will be the sixth such spending plan that Van Beek and his staff will formulate since his appointment to the City Manager’s post in February of 2018.
That retreat session is a week from Saturday, January 20th, beginning at 8 AM in the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place (150 W. 8th St.). Under the city charter, council must ratify a new annual budget during its first scheduled meeting in May, which would be set this year for May 1st.
