Shirley Mae Bossardet, age 88, of Holland passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023.
Early in her life Shirley went to salon beauty school and for a period was self-employed before joining the team at Resthaven Care Center. She enjoyed sewing and camping with her husband Tom in Washington State, Montana, and many other places. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and her lovely pets.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ira “Red” and Marion (De Neut) Antles and a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas (Prudy) Antles.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 70 years, Thomas, and children: Dan Bossardet of Holland, Scott (Laurie) Bossardet of Holland, Thomas (Jeanne) Bossardet of Holland, and David (Kendra) Bossardet of Borculo; 8 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brother: Jack (Karen) Antles; brother and sister-in-laws: Reah John, Richard Bossardet, Linda (Ernest) Sears, Julie (Scott) Crane, Margie Bossardet, and Sandy Bossardet; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 am, Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at First Reformed Church, 630 State Street in Holland. Reverend Dr. Andrew Bossardet will be officiating. The burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street in Holland. Memorial contributions may be given to the Harbor Humane Society or First Reformed Church.
