HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 15, 2023) – A 38-year-old Holland man was seriously injured on Friday evening in a three-vehicle pileup at an intersection on Holland North Side.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Nicholas Knott, deputies and other first responders were dispatched to Riley Street and 120th Avenue shortly after 6 PM. That was where an eastbound pickup, driven by a 65-year-old Zeeland man, made a wide right hand turn and struck a northbound sedan that was in the left turn lane. The impact of the collision sent the sedan into another northbound vehicle.
The driver of the sedan had to be extricated by rescue workers, and he was taken to Holland Hospital for treatment, while there was no report of any injuries suffered by the other two drivers involved. It took crews some time to clear up the situation before traffic was back to normal at the scene.
No names were disclosed as the incident remains under investigation.
