HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 6, 2023) – A glimpse into the legacy of print and broadcast journalism in Holland is now on display at the Holland Museum.
Now through April 8th, the museum (31 W. 10th St.) is staging the exhibit, “Newsflash! The Story of Journalism in Holland.” Photos and artifacts donated by the Holland Sentinel, Midwest Communications (owner of WHTC-AM/FM), and the estate of the late historian Randy Vande Water can be seen.
It is unique, says the museum’s Exhibits Coordinator, Maddalena Frissora.
On Thursday evening at 7 PM, a 90-minute panel discussion in relation to the exhibit will be held, with the Sentinel’s Local Editor Cassandra Lybrink, long-time Alegria Latina hostess Lupita Reyes, and retired journalist Paul Van Kolken joining WHTC’s Gary Stevens in discussing their careers and the industry in general. The event is free, but the Museum asks that you notify them in advance online if you plan to attend.
