LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan House and Senate are done with session work for the year.
Majority Democrats in both chambers adjourned earlier than normal to get laws moving the Democratic presidential primary moved to late February. Because there was not a large enough majority for them in the Senate to get that law to take immediate effect, it will become law 90 days after adjournment.
Republicans are upset by the adjournment, saying they feel more work should be done.
