HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — An 18-year-old Spring Lake man suffered non-life-threatening injuries after a motorcycle crash in Port Sheldon Township, just after 5:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, 2020.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s authorities indicated the man, riding a 2001 Kawasaki ZR1200 motorcycle north on 144th Avenue near Tyler Street, lost control after braking hard. It’s unclear why he hit the brakes, but the sudden stop ejected him from the motorcycle. He was wearing a helmet, police said.
The crash remains under investigation, but police indicated alcohol is not considered a factor.
