Ottawa Co. Sheriff’s Dept. to Offer Another CRASE Class

OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 18, 2023) – A popular class that authorities wish would never be necessary returns next month.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department stages another “Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events” session on Wednesday, November 7th, at the Fillmore Street Complex in West Olive (12220 Fillmore St.). Sheriff Steve Kempker says that, although there is no cost for the class, advance registration is required, and space is limited.

Sheriff’s Sergeant Chris Koster, who helped develop his department’s CRASE curriculum, says that being ready for any crisis situation is an ever-changing challenge.
