Adrian Vredeveld passed away on October 4, 2023. He was 93 years old.
Adrian was born on June 20, 1930 in Allegan County. He was born to Lucas and Stella Vredeveld. He attended school in Zeeland and graduated from Zeeland High School. He was a long-time member of the Third Christian Reformed Church of Zeeland where he served as both Elder and Deacon. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Following his service, Ade married Corrine Cnossen on June 22, 1954. They were married for 69 years. Ade was employed as a lineman for Consumers Power Company for 38 years. In his retirement years, he volunteered with several local organizations. Ade and Cork enjoyed a long retirement together, traveling throughout the country both together and with several friends.
Ade was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Wilma Vredeveld and brother Gerald Vredeveld.
Ade is survived by his wife Corrine, 2 daughters: Sandy and Rick Stob and Carla and Bruce VanDenBerg. 6 Grandchildren: Tim and Tiffany Stob, Matt and Lena Stob, Doug and Melissa Stob, Carolyn and Ben Reuschel, Aaron and Rebecca VanDenBerg, and Michael VanDenBerg. 12 Great-Grandchildren: Kelsey, Eliana, Levi, Annika, Sophia, Colter, Ellis, Charlie, Eleanor, Jameson, Mariella, and Desmond.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10:45 am Monday, October 9, 2023, with the funeral service to follow at 11 am at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland. Interment will be in Zeeland Cemetery. Contributions can be given in Ade’s name to Resthaven or Hospice of Holland. www.yntemafh.com
