Dorothy Arens, died on Friday, September 29, 2023.
Dorothy is now pain free and rejoicing in the arms of Jesus who became her savior at the age of 19. She was born on October 2, 1933, in Manhattan, New York to Peter Rudy Rudolphus and Laura Mae Murray. Her mother died in 1965 and her father died in 1968. Her father spent many years in the navy, so they moved around a lot and finally arrived in the Holland area in 1950. She attended Holland High School and graduated in 1953. She married Glenn Roger Arens. He was her soul mate, caregiver, and love of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn Arens; son, Randall G. Arens; son, Daniel J. and Michelle Arens; granddaughter, Haley Marie Arens; grandson, Carson Arens; and granddaughter, McKenna Arens.
Visitation with the family is 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Langeland Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland, MI 49423.
Funeral services also on Wednesday at the funeral home will start at 11:00 AM. Rev. Gary Matthews to officiate. Burial to take place in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given in Dorothy’s honor to Samaritans Purse.
