LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist say they are pleased that President Biden will visit southeast Michigan today. Biden will join UAW members on the picket line as their strike against the Detroit Three continues. Whitmer says the visit is historic and adds the President is “strengthening our workforce and economy by bringing jobs home from overseas, reversing trends of the previous administration that lost jobs.” Gilchrist added that Biden’s visit shows the world that the President supports working families.
