Ronald D. Buter, age 86, of Zeeland, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Addington Place of Lakeside Vista in Holland.
Ron worked at General Electric in Holland for 34 ½ years and held many part-time jobs after retirement. He enjoyed time spent with his Army buddies and good friends from GE. “Ace”, as he was known by his family, dearly loved to laugh and make others laugh as well. He treasured his family and enjoyed family gatherings throughout the years.
He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Ron served in the US Army from 1956-1958. He was a member of First Reformed Church in Zeeland and cherished his relationship with The Lord.
Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Ken Buter; and brother-in-law, Jim Bruursema.

Funeral services are planned for 10:00am Monday, September 18, at First Reformed Church, 148 E Central, Zeeland, with Rev. Michelle VanDenBerg officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 12:15pm in Zeeland Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 2:00-4:00pm on Sunday, September 17, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S State St., Zeeland.
