Raymond “Earl” Busscher, age 93 of Holland went home to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
He is survived by his children: Dan and Mary Busscher of Fremont, IN and Dave and Sue Busscher of Holland; grandchildren and great grandchildren: Jonathan and Janet Busscher (Theo and Bella), Jeremy and Jaclyn Busscher, Stephen and Caitlin (Declan) Busscher, Michelle and Tyler Van Elst, Joshua Busscher and his fiancé Megan Heynen; his brothers: Al and Jackie Busscher, and Gord Busscher.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife Shirley in 2016.
Ray proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After his service in the military, he was a residential milk delivery man and then started his career as a carpenter. In his retirement he and his wife Shirley volunteered their time at Legacy Thrift (formerly the Bibles for Mexico Thrift Store). Ray was a member of Graafschap Christian Reformed Church where he served as a deacon, elder and Cadet Counselor.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Monday, August 28, 2023, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 East 16th Street, Holland. The funeral service will be 11 am Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Graafschap Christian Reformed Church, 5973 Church, Street, Holland. Interment will be in Graafschap Cemetery.
