HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 23, 2023) – A discussion on the future of the Heeringa Holland Civic Center is slated for Wednesday evening.
The Holland City Council, during its biweekly Study Session, will go over the performance of VenuWorks, the retained operators of the facility, as a six-year-long agreement is set to expire next June 30th. Since there is no provision for an automatic or negotiated extension of the deal, it’s a common practice for the city to seek out possible alternatives, and this study session is part of that process. The discussion is expected to center on how VenuWorks has performed during the course of the agreement, what things could be improved upon, costs of a future compact, and other matters involving the complex.
The Study Session begins at 6 PM in the second floor Training Room of Holland City Hall (270 S. River Ave.). An online link to the agenda and supporting documents is here.
