HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 20, 2023) – The summer vacation season may be winding down, but there appears to be no letup on the road construction season along the Lakeshore.
Two new projects begin on Monday. Adams Street east of Holland, from 74th to 64th avenues, will be closed through Friday, while Fillmore Street east of the Ottawa County administrative complex, from 120th to 112th avenues, will be blocked off through August 31st. This just adds to the current list of road projects in and around the Holland area, highlighted by the ongoing I-196 work from Zeeland to Hudsonville that runs through September 30th.
Pack your patience when you step into your vehicle, says Alex Doty of the Ottawa County Road Commission.
Here’s a list of the major road projects still in this area:
6th Street from River to Columbia avenues; College Avenue from East 6th to East 8th streets; Columbia Avenue from East 7th to East 8th streets – through November 10th
East 8th Street/Chicago Drive – through September 22nd
