GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 8, 2023) – A 27-year-old Ravenna man may not be stepping out of a federal prison until his 40’s.
Zebulon Timothy Nester was sentenced yesterday by US District Court Judge Robert Jonker in Grand Rapids to 12 and a half years behind bars, following the accused’s guilty plea in April on being a felon in possession of firearms charges. More than 13 months ago, ATF agents and local law enforcement officers raided his home and found what was described as a stock of various firearms, ammunition, accessories, body armor, and a three-D printer that created Glock switches. A month earlier, he was arrested by local authorities on breaking and entering charges that included the theft of a handgun in Newaygo County.
Nester will also be on probation for three years following his release from prison.
