HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 8, 2023) – A new leader of the Holland-based Mediation Services has been named.
The non-profit that looks to “promote peace through mediation and restorative justice” tabbed Dr. Cathy Anthofer-Fialon as its executive director, replacing Elizabeth Giddings, who left the organization after nearly nine years of service in March to become a child protection advocate with the Ottawa County Prosecutor’s Office. Anthofer-Fialon comes to the Lakeshore after being the director of campus safety at Bennington College in Vermont, and has past leadership experience with the Northern Michigan chapter of the American Red Cross and in the family division of the Grand Traverse County Circuit Court.
She was selected from a nationwide search, as Mediation Services partnered with the Lakeshore Nonprofit Alliance in the effort.
