UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM, July 24, 2023) – A couple of items of note are on the agenda for two separate public entity meetings on Monday.
The Board of the Holland Board of Public Works, during a special 4 PM meeting at the utility’s headquarters (625 Hastings Ave.), will consider a nearly $289,000 contract with Katerberg Verhage for excavation and conduit installation from the East Point substation to the new LG Energy Solutions switch house, as well as consider a proposed customer donation program that would funnel such unsolicited financial assistance funds to those in need through partnerships with local non-profits that serve the needy.
During the 7 PM biweekly business session of the Saugatuck City Council in the second floor meeting room of City Hall (102 Butler St.), the governing panel will be asked to approve the allocation of around $3,800 for retaining Viridis Design Group to help formulate a five-year update of a Parks and Recreation Plan, in conjunction with the city of the Village of Douglas, Saugatuck Township, and Saugatuck Public Schools. Such a plan is necessary for any eligibility of state DNR grants, and the costs of retaining the outside firm for this effort is being shared among the four entities involved.
