HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, July 20, 2023) – The investigation into the death of a 60-year-old Holland man whose body was found in a wooded area near Holland Heights this past Friday night has ended.
On Thursday, Holland Department of Public Safety Captain of Administrative Services Bob Buursma announced that, following an autopsy, the Ottawa County Medical Examiner’s Office has determined that Glenn Scott Mennes had died of natural causes. A person walking in the area of East 16th Street west of Hope Avenue around 8:40 PM on July 14 came upon Mr. Mennes, and responding officers determined that this person “was obviously deceased. There was no evidence of foul play.”
Buursma did not disclose how Mr. Mennes may have passed away, or any other circumstances surrounding the discovery of his body.
