ALLEGAN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Several people were reportedly injured after an errant firework went into the crowd watching the show in the City of Allegan Monday night.
WWMT-TV reports an ambulance was brought into the area near Mahan Park, and witnesses said they saw a few people being treated for injuries.
The fireworks were being shot off over the Kalamazoo River as part of the city’s annual July 3 Jublibee.
The incident involving the mortar apparently happened just after 10:30 p.m.
More information from the Allegan Police Department is expected later Tuesday.
